Ted terHaar Memorial Scholarship

Commerce Scholarship Recipients,
2007, all students this year were
from Jenison High School.
Scholarship recipients all plan on
attending college to study business.
The Jenison Area Chamber of Commerce Ted terHaar Memorial
Scholarship is available to any Senior who lives in the Jenison area and
will be attending college in the Fall planning to major in the field of
business.
This scholarship honors and recognizes Ted terHaar, a past president of
the Jenison Chamber of Commerce. Ted was an educator with Jenison
Public Schools, coordinating the School To Career program prior to his untimely death in 2001.
Three scholarships are awarded annually: One is for $1500 and the other
two for $1000 each. The winners will be chosen by the Chamber of Commerce Board. The awards will be made at the May monthly chamber meeting.
